Liranzo was optioned to Double-A Bowie on Sunday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

The Orioles like Liranzo's potential and believe he can eventually become a contributor in the bullpen for the big club, but he'll need more seasoning in the higher minors before he sees an opportunity. The 22-year-old battled some control issues, but was mostly excellent in his first season of pro ball in 2016, compiling 66 strikeouts over 53 innings across stops at High-A Delmarva and Double-A Bowie.
