GM Matt Klentak said a promotion to Triple-A Lehigh Valley is not imminent for Kingery, Jim Salisbury of CSN Philadelphia reports.
Jesmuel Valentin is likely to miss the rest of the season after dislocating his shoulder, which opens up a starting spot at second base in Lehigh Valley. Kingery leads the Eastern League in homers (14) and slugging (.665) while hitting .290 with a 1.034 OPS, but the Phillies are in no rush to move him up a level. A promotion this summer seems likely if Kingery continues to dominate at Double-A Reading.
