Meadows (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment in the coming days, Bill Brink of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

This is good news for Meadows, who has been having issues with his hamstring since June. Before getting hurt, Meadows played 12 games with Triple-A Indianapolis, hitting .239 in 46 at-bats. The Pirates' top hitting prospect will most likely spend the rest of the season in Triple-A.
