Joyce went 1-for-3 with a homer, a walk and four RBI in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Brewers.

He got the Pirates off to a fast start, coming up as the fourth hitter in the first inning and socking a three-run homer. Joyce later added another RBI on a fielder's choice. It's been tough times for the veteran outfielder lately -- he hadn't collected a hit since July 7 and hadn't homered since June 24. Still, he's carrying an OPS over .900, so it's hard to complain about what Joyce has been able to do in a part-time role for the Pirates.
