Vogelsong (eye) will play catch today after being pulled from Wednesday's rehab outing, Stephen J. Nesbitt of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Vogelsong left Wednesday's Triple-A rehab outing after four innings because of neck soreness, completely unrelated to the eye injury that's kept him out of action since May. He was expected to come off the DL on Saturday, but because of his neck issue, he'll be sidelined a few more days as he works out the kinks. If all goes well when he plays catch, he'll likely not require another rehab outing and could be activated early next week.
