The last time Pirates starter Jeff Locke faced the Brewers he was pounded for five runs on nine hits in 3 2/3 innings. He got his revenge Saturday.

Locke shut down Milwaukee over 6 1/3 innings. He allowed one runs on three hits with two walks and seven strikeouts, his highest total since June 17.

The lone run on his ledger scored on a sacrifice fly by Luis Sardinas after he was removed from the game.

It marked his finest performance since an Independence Day blanking of Cleveland.
