Glasnow (1-1) earned his first major-league victory Tuesday, limiting the Reds to three earned runs on four hits and four walks in six innings. He struck out five.

He gave up all three runs in a 36-pitch first inning before settling down. This quality start was Glasnow's first in nine career outings. He's walked 17 batters in 20.2 innings and holds a 6.97 ERA, but the Pirates appear set to continue the fireballer's development at the major-league level; he touched 98 mph with his fastball in this one. Glasnow also went 1-for-2 with two walks and three RBI, helping his own cause.
