Rangers' Delino DeShields Jr.: Sitting for second straight game

DeShields is out of the lineup Sunday against the Mariners, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

DeShields has been excellent in June with a .415 on-base percentage, seven stolen bases and eight runs in 12 games, but as expected, the recent return of Carlos Gomez from the disabled list has cost the young speedster some playing time. DeShields will find himself on the bench for the second straight game. He may have to settle for only a couple starts per week while manager Jeff Banister likely deploys some combination of Joey Gallo, Shin-Soo Choo, Nomar Mazara and Gomez in the outfield on most occasions.
