Rangers' Derek Holland: Played catch Friday

Holland feels great after finally being able to play catch for the first time since going on the disabled list, Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Holland made 25 total throws, not pitches, on Friday. This was a big first step for Holland in his progression back from his shoulder injury suffered in late June. There is still no timetable on when his official rehab will begin, Holland is expected to rejoin the Rangers at some point in early August.
