Rangers inform Jamey Wright he won't make team

40-year-old pitcher Jamey Wright has been informed by the Rangers that he won't make the club. 

Wright had an out in his contract, requiring the team to give him advance notice. 

“If they change their minds, I’m still here,” Wright said, per the Dallas Morning News. “But, if not, I’m showcasing for all the other teams.”

He had a 9.64 ERA in eight appearances this spring.
