Rua went 2-for-2 with a three-run home run and two walks during Thursday's win over Philadelphia.

The injury to Carlos Gomez (hamstring) and demotion of Jurickson Profar has opened the door for more consistent at-bats for Rua going forward. Rua's ability to play multiple positions helps, and he sports a respectable .273/.325/.432 slash line against left-handed hurlers over the past three seasons, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him carve out a platoon role against southpaws. He's still nothing more than a speculative grab in deep seasonal settings and a low-priced flier in daily contests, though.
