Snell (1-3) gave up three earned runs on four hits and four walks over 5.1 innings in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Tigers. He struck out four.

The young southpaw had several positives to derive from this one, as he did manage first-pitch strikes on 18 of the 24 batters he faced, and induced 10 swings-and-misses. Despite frequently getting ahead in the count however, Snell still handed out multiple free passes for the fourth straight start, and gave up his first career homer to Ian Kinsler in the fifth inning. The 23-year-old's control has been his biggest issue to date, and he'll look to chip away at his 1.71 WHIP and get back in the win column when he takes on the Angels next Thursday.
