Rasmus is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Reds, Bill Chastain of MLB.com reports.

Rasmus has occupied the larger side of a platoon since coming off the disabled list in early May, but it appears starts against right-handed pitching may no longer be guaranteed following the acquisition of Trevor Plouffe. Manager Kevin Cash has shown more of a willingness to use the defensively challenged Corey Dickerson in left field of late while Plouffe occupies the designated hitter spot, resulting in Rasmus getting squeezed out of the lineup against a right-handed pitcher for the second consecutive contest.
