Faria (3-0) racked up nine strikeouts in Sunday's 9-1 win over the Tigers, allowing just a single run on six hits and a walk over seven innings.

The rookie continues to dazzle, notching an impressive 17 swinging strikes Sunday while firing a career-high 110 pitches. Faria has now allowed just one earned run in each of his first three starts, displaying superb control on his way to a 22:4 K:BB across 19.2 innings. The Rays appear to have a potential ace in the 23-year-old, who boasts a solid 3.16 SIERA, 2.77 xFIP and 29 percent strikeout rate as well. He'll look to extend the stellar start to his big-league career when he tangles with the Orioles at Tropicana Field in his next trip to the mound.
