Red Sox's David Price: Feels ready for majors

Price (elbow) declared himself ready to make his next start at the major-league level, Mike Haim of the Boston Herald reports.

The organization was hoping to see Price throw up to 90 pitches during a rehabilitation start for Triple-A Pawtucket on Friday, but he was pulled after an eventful two innings in which he allowed three runs on five hits and threw 70 pitches. Price reasoned that throwing 70 pitches -- many requiring intense focus with men on base -- was as good a test as throwing 90 pitches over six easy innings.
