Price (elbow) will be examined by the Red Sox team doctor on Monday to evaluate his arm strength, Brian MacPherson of the Providence Journal reports.

Price has been slowly working his way back to mound work after experiencing forearm and elbow inflammation earlier in the month, and if his arm is deemed strong enough by the team doctor, he could see an increase in the intensity of his throwing. The Red Sox won't rush Price, however, as they're already planning on the 31-year-old starting the season on the DL. It's a situation to monitor, and a firmer timetable could be revealed if all goes well with the doctor.
