Reds' Alfredo Simon: Moved to 60-day disabled list

Simon (shoulder) was transferred to the 60-day disabled list Monday.

The move was procedural to open up a spot on the 40-man roster for the addition of Matt Magill from Triple-A Louisville. Simon's 2016 campaign has come to an end; the veteran will use the offseason to rehab and prove he's still worth a look as he enters free agency.
