Diaz (elbow) pitched an inning in a simulated game versus minor leaguers, Nick Groke of the Denver Post reports.
The right-handed flamethrower continues to progress through his Tommy John rehab program at a good pace. Diaz will need to throw in regular game situations before he even sniffs the major leagues, but this development keeps him on pace for a potential return to the Rockies' bullpen sometime around early May.
