Escobar went 0-for-4 with a strikeout during Monday's loss to the Orioles.

Escobar's season is once again proof that high contact rates don't always translate to high batting averages. Although he makes contact in 84 percent of his at-bats and strikes out a mere 15 percent of the time, his batting average continues to fall and is now at .253. However, when he manages to get on base, Escobar is one of the most productive players on the roster, as he's second in stolen bases with 10 and has scored 21 runs.
