Shaun Marcum: Retires from baseball

Marcum has retired from baseball.

The 35-year-old pitcher is calling it quits after a nine-year major league career and will instead coach for the baseball team at Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Over his major league career, Marcum compiled a respectable 3.93 ERA and 1.23 WHIP in 1,030 innings.
