Steven Ames set for Miami debut

The Marlins recalled reliever Steven Ames from Triple-A New Orleans Sunday after placing reliever Kevin Slowey on the disabled list. Ames was acquired from the Dodgers as part of the Ricky Nolasco trade.

Ames tossed seven scoreless innings for New Orleans since his acquisiton. He allowed one walk and four hits, while striking out five.
