Tigers' Warwick Saupold: Optioned to minors

Saupold was optioned to Triple-A Toledo on Saturday, MLB.com reports.

Shane Greene (back) was able to return to the bullpen Saturday with a scoreless inning against the Rangers, reducing the Tigers' need to keep Saupold in the fold as relief depth. Saupold made just one appearance during this latest stint with the Tigers, tossing three scoreless innings during Friday's game.
