Wimmers was demoted to Double-A Chattanooga after posting a 5.73 ERA with a 9:7 K:BB in 11 innings at Triple-A Rochester, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

The former first-round draft pick had a career revival with a 9.1 K/9 and 3.62 ERA at Triple-A that led to a brief stint in the majors last year. He had a strong showing in spring training, but his career looks to have taken a step back since the season started.
