Gee agreed to a minor-league deal with the Twins on Tuesday, Jon Heyman of FanRagSports.com reports.

Gee was designated for assignment by the Rangers on Friday and ultimately elected for free agency as opposed to accepting his assignment to Triple-A Round Rock. The veteran pitcher wasn't a free agent for long, as the Twins have decided to take a shot on the 31-year-old. He'll report to Triple-A Rochester with his sights set on working his way back the majors.
