Santana (back) pitched a simulated game Tuesday and is on track to start Saturday against the White Sox, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
This had been the plan all along, and with no setbacks following the two innings of work in the sim game, Santana looks to be good to go. He'll likely take the spot of either Tyler Duffey or Alex Meyer in the starting rotation upon his return.
