May (elbow) has elected to undergo Tommy John surgery to repair his torn UCL and will miss the entire 2017 season, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
May injured his elbow while pitching on March 8. After multiple doctor visits he has decided that full UCL surgery is his best option for recovery. He'll hopefully be ready to return for the 2018 campaign.
