Betances was responsible for the loss Friday, allowing two runs over 1.1 innings against Boston.
It was a rare slipup for Betances, as he allowed a two-run homer to break open a tie game in the eighth inning. After not allowing an earned run in his first nine appearances, Betances has given up a long ball in both of the last two, but he's continued racking up the strikeouts with 24 in 11.1 innings.
