Well-traveled utility man Trevor Crowe is set to travel again - he has been released by the Tigers. He has yet to play in the bigs this season. Crowe owns a .240 average in 818 major league at-bats.
The Tigers announced Sunday they optioned pitcher Kyle Lobstein, pitcher Jose Ortega and shortstop Eugenio Suarez to Triple-A Toledo. They also reassigned catcher John Murrian, catcher Craig Albernaz, outfielder Ezequiel Carrera and outfielder Trevor Crowe to minor-league camp.

Astros outfielder Trevor Crowe drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning Wednesday against the Twins. Crowe singled to left to score Jonathan Villar for the 6-5 win after Houston blew a save in the top of the ninth. Crowe went 2 for 5 with two RBI in the game as he also had an RBI single in the fourth inning. He's batting .239 on the season for Houston. The 29-year-old Crowe has gone 9 for 22 (.409) over a six-game hitting streak with four runs batted in over that stretch. He also has two doubles and three runs scored.
