The Dodgers traded outfielder Matt Carson to the Athletics for cash on Friday, per SB Nation. Carson played for the A's in 2009 and 2010. He was hitting .179 with no home runs and nine RBI at the Dodgers' Triple-A club in Oklahoma City.
