RP Robert Hinton was cut from the Brewers' major league camp on Sunday and sent to minor league camp.
After bouncing around in the minors the last few seasons, Brewers P Robert Hinton received his first invitation to spring training this season as a non-roster invitee. "It's definitely exciting," Hinton told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "I'm a hard worker in the off-season anyway, but that gave me some extra motivation. I knew there was a new manager and new pitching coach, so really they're seeing everybody for the first time." Hinton spent most of the 2010 season with Double-A Huntsville, where he went 4-4 with a 4.15 ERA in 48 appearances. In 483 innings in the minors, Hinton has logged 490 strikeouts but has pitched above the Double-A level only briefly.
