    • Nick Evans: Re-signs with Korean Champs

      Evans re-signed with Doosan of the Korean Baseball League on Saturday, ESPN's Adam Rubin reports. Evans slashed .308/.410/.565 for the Korean League champions last season, while also adding 24 home runs and 81 RBI. His .308 average was good for just ninth on the team, however, as averages in Korea are usually higher than those in the MLB. Evans last appeared in the major leagues back in 2014, when he hit .273 in 23 plate appearances over 18 games for Arizona.

    • The Diamondbacks reassigned seven players to minor league camp on Sunday. Players cut from the Major League team included: Catcher/infielder Peter O'Brien, a former second-round draft pick acquired by the D-Backs from the Yankees last season. O'Brien hit .250 in 13 spring games. Infielder Danny Worth, signed as an offseason free agent after five years with the Tigers. Worth hit .286 this spring. RHP Jake Barrett, a third-round pick in 2012. He had a 9.00 ERA in four spring games. OF Danny Dorn, who hit .194. OF Nick Evans, who hit .211 RHP J.C. Ramirez, who had a 6.00 ERA in five games. Utility man Jamie Romak, who hit .286.

    • Jordan Pacheco back, Nick Evans out for Arizona

      The Diamondbacks have activated infielder/catcher Jordan Pacheco from the 15-day disabled list and released utility man Nick Evans . Pacheco has been used sparingly this season, but has been serviceable. He's batting .250 with eight RBI in 80 at-bats.

      First baseman Nick Evans has been promoted by the Diamondbacks from Triple A Reno less than two weeks after being sent down. Evans was tearing it up at that level with 12 hits, including two doubles, in his last 20 at-bats.

      Diamondbacks infielder Nick Evans has accepted his assignment to Triple-A Reno, MLBDailyDish.com reports. Evans had the option of electing free agency, but he'll stick in the Diamondbacks organization and serve as minor-league depth until he's potentially needed at the major-league level. He went 1 for 11 in seven appearances with the Diamondbacks before being designated for assignment.
