Phillies left-hander Jesse Biddle was among the six players optioned to minor-league camp on Monday, per the Philadelphia Inquirer. Adam Morgan, Ethan Martin, and Sean O'Sullivan, catcher John Hester and Aaron Altherr were also sent down with Biddle.
Phillies catcher John Hester suffered a complex tear of the medial meiniscus in his left knee. The injury required surgery, and he'll be out six weeks, according to Meghan Montemurro of the News Journal. The 30-year-old Hester last played in the Major Leagues with the Angels in 2013.
