    • Ciriaco signed a minor league deal with the Rangers on Wednesday. The contract includes a spring training invite. The veteran spent last season with the Braves organization, seeing time in 84 major league contests while appearing in 26 minor league games. Ciriaco hit .261 with 15 RBI and eight doubles for the Braves while playing all over the infield, in addition to making a couple of appearances in the outfield. The 30-year-old will look to make the roster outright in spring training, but he could end up at Triple-A.

    • Braves' Pedro Ciriaco: Non-tendered by Braves
      By RotoWire Staff

Ciriaco was non-tendered by the Braves on Thursday. The Braves cleared a spot on the 40-man roster and avoid having to negotiate an arbitration deal with the utility infielder. Ciriaco is a career .268/.294/.368 hitter, and he played every infield position other than catcher last season, so his versatility is his main selling point as he now becomes a free agent.

    • The Braves got a boost from the bottom of the order as shortstop Pedro Ciriaco drove in four runs from the No. 9 hole, but it wasn't enough in a 9-6 loss to the Rays. The normally light-hitting Ciriaco drove in two runs with a second-inning single and then connected for his first home run of the season in the fifth. His seventh inning sacrifice fly put Atlanta ahead 5-3, though the Braves would squander that advantage. Ciriaco's big night gives him 15 RBIs on the season.

    • Braves infielder Pedro Ciriaco came through with the game's only run in Sunday's 1-0 win over the Mets. Ciriaco came off the bench in the seventh inning with a runner on second. The light-hitting Ciriaco blooped a single into center field, allowing the only run to cross the plate. Despite getting limited playing time, Ciriaco has been invaluable for the Braves this year. He's hitting .474 (9 for 19) with six RBI through 10 games this month.
