    • The Angels have signed pitcher Jeremy McBryde to a major-league contract and designated outfielder Roger Kieschnick for assignment, the team announced Friday. McBryde made 51 appearances for Triple-A Sacramento in 2014, going 2-3 with a 2.22 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 66:26 K:BB ratio in 65 innings. It was his first exposure to Triple-A batting after spending seven seasons in the San Diego organization. Kieschnick went 8 for 41 with Arizona in 2014 and hit .260/.317/.461 with 15 home runs, 49 RBI and five stolen bases in 369 at-bats with Triple-A Reno.

    • The Angels claimed outfielder Roger Kieschnick and outfielder Alfredo Marte off waivers from the Diamondbacks Tuesday. Kieschnick went 8 for 41 with Arizona and posted a .260/.317/.461 line with 15 home runs, 49 RBI and five stolen bases in 369 at-bats with Triple-A Reno. Marte hit .170/.221/.292 with two home runs and nine RBI in 106 at-bats with Arizona.

    • Diamondbacks send pair to minors

      The Diamondbacks have demoted outfielder Roger Kieschnick and shortstop Nick Ahmed to Triple-A Reno. Kieschnick, who was called up just last week, has just eight hits in 41 at-bats in stints with Arizona this season. Ahmed owns a weak stat line of .228/.254/.316 in the bigs in 2014.

    • Roger Kieschnick sent to Triple-A

      Diamondbacks outfielder Roger Kieschnick has been optioned to Triple-A Friday. Kieschnick was sent down in order to make room for Mark Trumbo. Trumbo had been out since late April with a foot injury, but is ready to return. Kieschnick hit .207 over 29 at-bats in the majors.
