The Angels released pitcher Zach Stewart from his minor-league contract on Monday. Stewart plans to sign with the NC Dinos in Korea. He was 1-2 with a 3.43 ERA at Triple-A Salt Lake.

Stewart, 28, spent last season in the minors. He posted a 4.58 ERA over 110 innings. The 30-year-old Herrmann spent all of last season in Triple-A. He posted a 6.37 ERA over 29 2/3 innings.
The Braves acquired starting pitcher Zach Stewart from the White Sox Monday in exchange for cash. Stewart spent the 2013 season in the minors, compiling a 6-14 record and 4.25 ERA in 28 starts for Triple-A Charlotte.
