    • Orioles' Chaz Roe: Called up to major leagues
      By RotoWire Staff

Roe was called up by the Orioles on Thursday, Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com reports. T.J. McFarland (knee) was placed on the 15-day DL, opening the door for Roe to join the major league team for the first time this season. He was designated for assignment just prior to the start of the season and passed through waivers unclaimed. The 29-year-old has turned in a 2.39 ERA and 0.98 WHIP with Triple-A Norfolk this season after posting a 4.14 ERA and 1.48 WHIP in 36 appearances with the big club in 2015.

    • Orioles' Chaz Roe: Clears waivers Friday
      By RotoWire Staff

Roe cleared waivers Friday and will likely head to Triple-A Norfolk, Jerry Crasnick of Baseball America reports. It appears that no teams wanted to open up a 40-man roster spot for the right-hander, so he'll head to the minor leagues despite being out of options. He'll continue to act as organizational depth for Baltimore going forward.

    • Orioles' Chaz Roe: Designated for assignment
      By RotoWire Staff

Roe will go through waivers after being assigned to the Orioles' Triple-A affiliate Friday, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports. He is out of options, but the Orioles decided not to break camp with Roe in the bullpen. If another team claims Roe, he would have to be added to that team's 40-man roster, so there's a good chance he will go unclaimed and continue to provide organizational depth for the Orioles.

    • Orioles' Chaz Roe: Makes First Spring Appearance
      By RotoWire Staff

Roe (hamstring) made his first spring appearance Thursday and allowed one run on three hits with two strikeouts in 1.2 innings. Roe's injury scare seems like it is no big deal. He even more than he was supposed to after Miguel Gonzalez could not get out of the second inning. Roe still has an uphill battle in his quest to earn a roster spot, but at least he appears to be healthy. A return to Triple-A seems likely.

    • Roe (hamstring) felt better but was a little sore Sunday, one day after taking a come-backer off his hamstring, MASN Sports reports. The ball just missed Roe's knee, which should mean he will be sidelined a could of days or less. Look for him to get in a spring training game later this week. Roe is trying to rebound from a tough second half, but it is much more likely he will begin the season at Triple-A.
