    • The Orioles have acquired first baseman Mike McDade from the Rangers in exchange for future considerations, the Dallas Morning News reports. McDade spent most of last season with Double-A New Hampshire, hitting .250/.307/.366 with seven home runs and 36 RBI in 276 at-bats. He was 0 for 1 in major-league camp with the Rangers.

    • The Rangers have signed first baseman Mike McDade and reliever Mason Tobin to minor-league deals, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. The 25-year-old McDade spent last season at both Double-A and Triple-A. He hit .242/.298/.349 over 326 plate appearances. Tobin actually made the Rangers opening day roster in 2011, but spent last year in Triple-A with the Giants. He posted a 4.24 ERA over 34 innings.

    • The Blue Jays have signed first baseman Mike McDade to a minor-league deal, MLB.com reports. McDade was originally drafted by the Blue Jays in the sixth round in 2007 but spent 2013 in the White Sox and Indians organizations. He went 2 for 5 with two walks with the White Sox this spring before joining back up with his former organiztion.

    • White Sox reassign seven to minor-league camp

      The White Sox reassigned seven players to minor-league camp Wednesday, including infielder Mike McDade, outfielder Denis Phipps, catcher Kevan Smith and pitchers Chris Bassitt, Parker Frazier, Brian Omogrosso and Mauricio Robles. The White Sox have 55 players remaining in major-league camp after the moves.

    • White Sox hand out 21 invites to spring training

      The White Sox announced Tuesday they handed out 21 non-roster invites to spring training. The list was headlined by prospects Micah Johnson and Chris Beck, who are considered among the White Sox's top 10 prospects by Baseball America. The 11 pitchers invited to spring training were Beck, Dylan Axelrod, Chris Bassitt, Parker Frazier, Brian Omogrosso, Omar Poveda, David Purcey, Zach Putnam, Mauricio Robles and Scott Snodgress. The remaining spring invites included three catchers -- Hector Gimenez, Miguel Gonzalez, Kevan Smith -- four infielders -- Johnson, Alex Liddi, Mike McDade, Andy Wilkins -- and three outfielders -- Denis Phipps, Blake Tekotte, Keenyn Walker.
