Cleveland Indians minor-league player Chun-Hsiu Chen played so well for Double-A Akron over the last week that he was named the Eastern League player of the week, MLB.com reports. Chen, 24, batted .471 with six RBI over five games. He's batting .378 with two homers, nine RBI and three doubles over his last 10 games for the Aeros. Chen is currently third in the Eastern League in hitting at .348 and is leading in on-base percentage at .477.
The Indians reassigned the following players to minor league camp on Sunday: Cleveland sent out reliever Austin Adams, catcher Chun Chen and reliever Tyler Sturdevant.
