The Phillies purchased the contract of pitcher Seth Rosin , the team announced on Saturday. Rosin appeared in three games with Texas last season in his only other MLB experience. He was 2-1 with three saves and a 2.65 ERA at Triple-A Lehigh Valley this season. To make room, the Phillies designated pitcher Phillippe Aumont for assignment. Aumont suffered a loss in his only appearance with the Phillies.
The Phillies have re-assigned pitchers Mike Nesseth and Seth Rosin to their minor league camp, the team announced Monday. Rosin made just one appearance in the majors in 2014, throwing four innings and posting a 6.75 ERA with three strikeouts. Nesseth has yet to make an appearance in the big leagues.
