The Phillies purchased the contract of pitcher Seth Rosin , the team announced on Saturday. Rosin appeared in three games with Texas last season in his only other MLB experience. He was 2-1 with three saves and a 2.65 ERA at Triple-A Lehigh Valley this season. To make room, the Phillies designated pitcher Phillippe Aumont for assignment. Aumont suffered a loss in his only appearance with the Phillies.
The Phillies have re-assigned pitchers Mike Nesseth and Seth Rosin to their minor league camp, the team announced Monday. Rosin made just one appearance in the majors in 2014, throwing four innings and posting a 6.75 ERA with three strikeouts. Nesseth has yet to make an appearance in the big leagues.
Right-hander Seth Rosin has been returned to the Phillies from Texas and has been sent to Triple-A Lehigh. He was designated for assignment by the Rangers on Wednesday.
The Rangers have purchased the contract of third baseman Kevin Kouzmanoff from Triple-A Round Rock and designated for assignment right-hander Seth Rosin. The promotion of Kouzmanoff could mean the Rangers are pessimistic about the immediate future of standout third baseman Adrian Beltre, who is dealing with a left quad injury.
The Rangers continued to scramble for arms Wednesday by signing right-hander and Dodgers castoff Seth Rosin off waivers. The 25-year-old Rosin has yet to pitch in a major league game, but could get his chance with Texas, which has been hit with a spate of injuries in its pitching staff.
