The Pirates have sent Tyler Glasnow, Wilfredo Boscan, Adrian Sampson, Angel Sanchez and Keon Broxton to minor-league camp, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
The Pirates claimed infielder Angel Sanchez off waivers from the White Sox, USA Today reports Thursday. Sanchez was hitting just .226/.285/.282 in 139 at-bats in the minors this season.
The White Sox have claimed right-hander Angel Sanchez off waivers from Tampa Bay and assigned him to Class A Winston-Salem. The 24-year-old Sanchez, who was designated for assignment by the Rays on Sunday, struggled in that organization at the Double-A level this season.
Rays pitcher Angel Sanchez was designated for assignment Monday to clear a roster spot for pitcher Cory Burns, who was claimed off waivers from the Rangers. Sanchez is 0-1 with a 8.00 ERA in two relief appearances for Double-A Montgomery.
