    • Rosenbaum was reassigned to minor league camp Monday, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports. This comes as no surprise, as the highest level the southpaw reached last season was Double-A. He'll head back to the minors to work on transitioning from being a starter to being a reliever.

    • Red Sox's Daniel Rosenbaum: Seen as a reliever
      By RotoWire Staff

Rosenbaum, who started 15 games in Boston's organization last season, will be used as a reliever in 2016, the Boston Globe reports. The 28-year-old left-hander was recovering from Tommy John surgery when he was traded to Boston at the beginning of 2015. Rosenbaum went on to post a 5.81 ERA in 15 starts between Short-Season Lowell and Double-A Portland last year. Boston manager John Farrell sees his low-90s fastball playing up out of the bullpen. Rosenbaum also features a changeup, cutter, and sinker.

    • Dan Rosenbaum farm fresh for Nationals
      By Bill Passonno

After returning to the Nationals from the Rockies following spring training -- and subsequently moving back to a familiar role -- pitcher Dan Rosenbaum has blossomed into another standout option at Triple-A Syracuse. Rosenbaum was selected by Colorado in last year's Rule 5 draft, but was sent back to Washington after the Rockies' failed attempt to convert him to a middle reliever. With Syracuse -- his first season at the Triple-A level -- the 25-year-old was placed back into the starting rotation and has yielded just three runs over 23 2/3 innings for a solid 1.14 ERA. However, Rosenbaum isn't a major strikeout force and has fanned just five batters this season and owns a career mark of 6.6 K/9.
