Mann received an 80-game suspension for testing positive for Ostarine, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports. Mann has spent most of his career at the lower levels of the minors, never graduating above the Double-A level. The 31-year-old will provide organizational bullpen depth when eligible to return and is unlikely to factor in much at the upper levels.
The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports that the Pirates signed the following players to minor league contracts: first baseman Travis Ishikawa, starting pitcher Kyle McPherson and relievers Daniel Schlereth, Adam Wilk, Brandon Mann and Elvin Ramirez. Ishikawa, McPherson, Schlereth and Wilk received invites to spring training.
