    • Orioles release Suk-Min Yoon

      The Orioles announced Thursday that pitcher Suk-Min Yoon has been released, allowing him to sign with the Kia Tigers of the Korea Baseball Organization. The Orioles signed Yoon to a three-year, $5.575-million deal last February, and the pitcher went 4-8 with a 5.74 ERA in 95 2/3 innings with Triple-A Norfolk. Prior to signing with the Orioles, he pitched with Kia for nine seasons, amassing a 73-59 record along with a 3.19 ERA and 949 strikeouts in 1,129 innings.

    • It appears pitcher Suk-Min Yoon is parting ways with the Orioles, per MASNsports.com. According to a report out of Korea, Yoon has returned to South Korea and isn't expected to report to minor-league camp on Saturday. The Orioles signed Yoon to a three-year, $5.575 million contract last February. However, he spent the year in Triple-A, as he struggled through injuries and ineffectiveness. The 28-year-old right-hander went 4-8 with a 5.74 ERA in 23 appearances (18 starts) at Triple-A. Yoon was taken off the 40-man roster in August and did not receive an invite to major-league camp this spring.

    • Orioles manager Buck Showalter said Tuesday pitcher prospect Suk-Min Yoon will not receive an invite to major-league spring training, per CSNBaltimore.com. The Orioles signed Yoon to a three-year contract last offseason. However, the Korean right-handed hurler spent the 2014 season pitching at Triple-A Norfolk, compiling a 4-8 record and 5.74 ERA in 23 outings (18 starts).

    • Orioles return Suk-min Yoon to Triple-A DL

      The Orioles have returned pitcher Suk-min Yoon to the Triple-A disabled list with right elbow inflammation, retroactive to Monday. Yoon, who is in his first year in American professional baseball, had already been on the DL with a right shoulder issue. He made one start, allowing two hits in 3 1/3 shutout innings Saturday night, before going back on the DL. The Korean import has otherwise struggled on the mound with a 3-7 record, 5.51 ERA and 97 hits allowed in 78 1/3 innings.

    • Suk-Min Yoon returning to action at Triple-A

      Orioles pitcher Suk-Min Yoon will return to action at Triple-A Norfolk Saturday, according to MASNSports.com Friday. Yoon has been sidelined since late June with a shoulder impingement, but had been targeting Saturday as his return date over the last few weeks. Yoon has a 5.76 ERA in 75 innings at Norfolk, in his first season pitching out side of the Korean Baseball Organization.
