    • Brewers' Chris Capuano: Transferred to 60-day DL
      By RotoWire Staff

Capuano (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day disabled list Sunday. The veteran lefty has been on the shelf since late May due to elbow soreness and a recent setback pushed his potential return date back by four-to-six weeks. With that, the Brewers transferred him over to the 60-day DL in order to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Will Middlebrooks, whose contract was selected Sunday.

    • Capuano (elbow) is out 4-6 weeks with a flexor strain, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Capuano had been steadily progressing through his rehab from elbow soreness until he reported discomfort in his elbow during a simulated game. The veteran then went to Milwaukee to undergo medical tests to determine what was causing the soreness. An MRI was conducted and revealed a flexor strain in his pitching elbow. He'll likely be sidelined until August as he recovers.

    • Capuana experienced some discomfort in his elbow during a simulated session Friday, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. It appears Capuano has encountered a setback in his rehab from elbow soreness that caused him to land on the DL on May 26. As a result, the Brewers are delaying a rehab assignment until further notice. Given his history of elbow injuries, the Brewers are likely to be cautious with the veteran and he could miss a few extra weeks as a result.
