Dodgers reliever Chin-Hui Tsao was designated for assignment on Thursday. Tsao made a less-than valiant return to the big leagues in 2015, after last pitching in 2007 for the Dodgers. This year, Tsao allowed eight earned runs over seven innings of relief, resulting in an ugly 10.29 ERA.
Just two weeks after promoting pitchers Chin-Hui Tsao and Josh Ravin from Triple-A Albuquerque, the Dodgers have sent them back down, MLB.com has reported. Tsao performed decently in four relief appearances and sports a 2.84 ERA. Ravin got into only one game in his latest stint in the bigs and hurled a shutout inning. He owns a 5.63 ERA on the season.
