    • Braves' Sean Rodriguez: Placed on 60-day DL
      By RotoWire Staff

Rodriguez (shoulder) was placed on the 60-day disabled list Sunday, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. The Braves expect Rodriguez to miss the entire season after he required shoulder surgery in February following an offseason car accident, so his placement on the 60-day DL was merely a formality. Emilio Bonifacio was added to the 40-man roster in Rodriguez's place and is expected to fill a utility role for the Braves.

    • Rodriguez (shoulder) will likely miss the entire 2017 season, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. The Braves are listing Rodriguez as "out indefinitely" after he underwent surgery Wednesday, but both O'Brien and MLB.com beat writer Mark Bowman say Rodriguez is likely done for the year. He was found to have a complete tear of his left rotator cuff after being involved in a car accident last month. Rodriguez was initially believed to have avoided any kind of serious injury in the accident, but after the Braves found out about the shoulder injury and the extent of the issue, they acted fast to acquire Brandon Phillips from Cincinnati.

    • Braves' Sean Rodriguez: Undergoes surgery Wednesday
      By RotoWire Staff

Rodriguez (shoulder) underwent surgery Wednesday to repair his left rotator cuff and is out indefinitely. The 31-year-old hurt his shoulder in a January automobile accident and could be at risk of missing a large portion, if not all, of the season following surgery, though the Braves haven't provided an official timetable for his recovery. Rodriguez was expected to fill a utility role all over the diamond and the outfield for the Braves, but his likely long-term absence may prompt the team to look to Chase d'Arnaud to fill that void.

    • Rodriguez will have shoulder surgery next week due to injuries suffered during an automobile accident, according to a source, Ken Rosenthal of FOX reports. He is expected to miss between three and five months. Initial reports of the accident indicated Rodriguez was not hurt, but apparently those reports were premature. The news of Rodriguez's injury is supported by the Braves' pursuit of the Reds' Brandon Phillips, which Rosenthal reported earlier.
