    Trevor Crowe drives in game-winning run

    Astros outfielder Trevor Crowe drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning Wednesday against the Twins. Crowe singled to left to score Jonathan Villar for the 6-5 win after Houston blew a save in the top of the ninth. Crowe went 2 for 5 with two RBI in the game as he also had an RBI single in the fourth inning. He's batting .239 on the season for Houston. The 29-year-old Crowe has gone 9 for 22 (.409) over a six-game hitting streak with four runs batted in over that stretch. He also has two doubles and three runs scored.

    Trevor Crowe raking on rehab assignment

    Astros rehabbing outfielder Trevor Crowe has hit well during his rehab assignment at Triple-A Oklahoma City, MLB.com reports Monday. Crowe, who sprained the AC joint in his right shoulder on July 20, is hitting .388 with three RBI, three steals and 11 runs scored over 13 games with OKC. He should be back with the Astros shortly, according to manager Bo Porter. "We want to make sure his arm is built up to the point where he can play the field consistently," Porter said. "He suffered a pretty rough injury. From all reports, he is back playing, but you do want to make sure he can make all the necessary throws." Crowe hit .200 with a homer, five RBI and 10 runs scored over 34 games with Houston before getting hurt.

    Astros outfielder Trevor Crowe, who is on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained joint in his right shoulder, is headed to the team's spring complex in Florida Thursday to continue his rehab, according to the Houston Chronicle. "My range of motion is getting stronger and I'm getting stronger," Crowe said. "I got pretty much full range of motion, but I haven't thrown and I haven't hit. Hopefully I can start to throw by the end of the week."

    Trevor Crowe headed to DL

    The Astros placed outfielder Trevor Crowe on the disabled list Thursday, after he slammed into the wall earlier in the day against the Brewers. Crowe was diagnosed with a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder. "When we went out there I kind of thought it was going to be bad news just because of how hard he hit the wall," manager Bo Porter told the Houston Chronicle. "And then after he raised his arms up there wasn't much strength, when he raised his arms up. And when he tried to throw a baseball, he couldn't throw the baseball." Crowe hit the wall so hard his glove went over the fence and had to be retrieved from a fan. "I accelerated and jumped and hit the wall, and the wall won," Crowe said. The team plans to purchase the contract of Marc Krauss from Triple-A Oklahoma City to take Crowe's place on the roster.
