Lowrie added that he sustained it on an at-bat in the sixth inning and discovered it as he warmed up to start the seventh. His desparture was mostly precautionary.. "I just got jammed on the swing," he told "It got pretty swollen, but I told [A.J. Hinch] I could stay in there, and he said, 'Let's not take a chance.' I couldn't get anything on the throws, that's why A.J. said let's not take a chance." Lowrie was scheduled for a day off Monday against the host Yankees. He could start again as early as Tuesday.
