Blue Jays INF Steve Tolleson (groin) likely headed to 15-day DL

Blue Jays infielder Steve Tolleson was not available for Saturday's game against the Twins. Tolleson, who has been bothered by a groin injury over the last few games, is reportedly heading to the disabled list. The team is expected to call up infielder Munenori Kawasaki, according to SportsNet. Tolleson attempted to take ground balls at shortstop prior to Saturday's contest, but it was to move from side-to-side. He will undergo an MRI before determining if a DL stint will be necessary. "I know I'm going to see a different doctor tomorrow -- just to make sure that things aren't that serious -- but it just hasn't progressed the way I was hoping it [would]," Tolleson told reporters on Saturday afternoon. "We've done the treatments for a couple of days -- and it's tough to really play short in the American League, much less the National League." Tolleson is batting .268/.333/.439 in 41 at-bats this season.
