    • Reckling among Angels cuts

News: The Angels have cut the following 16 players from camp: RP Trevor Reckling, SP Tyler Chatwood, RP Michael Kohn, RP Kevin Nabors, SP Will M. Smith, RP Andrew Taylor, 2B Alexi Amarista, SS Ryan Mount, 1B Efren Navarro, 2B Abel Nieves, 2B Nate Sutton, OF Brad Coon, OF Jeremy Moore, C Anel De Los Santos, C Alberto Rosario and C Brian Walker.
Analysis: Recklin and Chatwood might be up later in 2010 to help the Angels, so they should maintain some minimal value in deeper AL-only leagues. The rest are just organizational depth for now and can continue to be ignored in Fantasy play.
    • Angels announce slew of invites

News: The Angels have invited the following players to major league spring training as non-roster invitees: catchers Hank Conger, Anel De Los Santos, Alberto Rosario and Brian Walker; outfielders Cory Aldridge, Brad Coon, Jeremy Moore and Michael Ryan; infielders Alexi Amarista, Ryan Mount, Efren Navarro, Abel Nieves, Gary Patchett, Andrew Romine, Hainley Statia and Nate Sutton; and pitchers Ryan Brasier, Ryan Chaffee, Tyler Chatwood, Travis Chick, Michael Kohn, Tommy Mendoza, Kevin Nabors, Trevor Reckling, Francisco Rodriguez, Will M. Smith and Andrew Taylor.
Analysis: Conger, Chatwood, Reckling, Mount and Statia are long-term prospects worth watching this season. None of these players projects to make the team out of spring training, so they can be avoided in most Fantasy leagues on Draft Day.
    • Angels send 12 to minor-league camp

News: The Angels reassigned 12 players to their minor-league camp Sunday: RHPs Stephen Marek, Sean O'Sullivan, Fernando Rodriguez, Rafael Rodriguez and Jordan Walden; OF Peter Bourjos; C Tim Duff and Ben Johnson; and INFs Adam Pavkovich, P.J. Phillips, Nate Sutton and Mark Trumbo.
Analysis: These players obviously have no Fantasy value and don't figure to make an impact soon. Let them go undrafted.
    • Angels hand out spring invites

News: The Angels signed RHP Henry Bonilla, OF Dee Brown and OF Chad Hermansen to minor league contracts with invitations to spring training. Also, they invited RHP Nick Adenhart, RHP Stephen Marek, RHP Darren O'Day, RHP Kasey Olenberger, RHP Fernando Rodriguez, RHP Rafael Rodriguez, RHP Alex Serrano, RHP Matt Wilhite, C Hank Conger, C Anel De Los Santos, C Tim Duff, 2B Ryan Mount, 2B Adam Pavkovich, SS P.J. Phillips, 3B Freddy Sandoval, SS Hainley Statia, 2B Nate Sutton and OF Peter Bourjos to spring training.
Analysis: Adenhart and Conger are top prospects worth considering in all long-term keeper leagues. All of these other spring invites figure to open in the minor leagues and be nothing more than organizational depth this season, so ignore them on Draft Day.
